Believe it or not, all of this started with us updating our kitchen. A number of years ago I installed a butcher block counter top in our kitchen. Last summer we updated our kitchen and put in new counter tops. I couldn't bear to throw out the counter tops because it was beautiful wood. So the counter tops sat in my garage for about a year.

So I ended up using the countertops to make some of my first wooden toys. I guess this qualifies as the ultimate recycling story. After that I got the wooden toy bug and have been making them since.

Each car is made by hand, except the wheels and yellow guy blank, one at a time in my advanced manufacturing facility (basement).

I so hope that you enjoy these cars. I make them as if I am making them for my grandchildren.

If your wondering what the little guy is at the top right of the page is. If you look at the front of most of the cars, you will always see a little yellow smiling, happy, guy in the car.
